Your contribution goes towards helping people help themselves. It's more than just a band-aid.

Christine

has been a volunteer with BRC since November 2009.

She has offered her services at weekly bingo at one of our housing services locations.

What motivated you to become a BRC volunteer?

I loved the idea of an organization that helps people get back on their feet - and does it with dignity.

What have you learned from volunteering at BRC?

Volunteering in one of the residences keeps me connected to the clients, and you can really see the direct impact you are having.

If you were to give someone one reason for why they should support BRC, what would that reason be?

Your contribution goes towards helping people help themselves, thus providing a potentially more permanent solution to the plight of homelessness. It's more than just a band-aid.

What distinguishes BRC is not what we do, but how we do it.
