Many of us read the inspirational story of Officer Frank Rendina of the NYPD’s Transit Bureau, who purchased compression socks for a homeless New Yorker in the spirit of the season earlier this month.
Inspired by Rendina’s act of kindness, Hanes donated 500 pairs of socks, which BRC’s Outreach Team distributed to those in need.
BRC’s Outreach Team consists of over 100 staff members working in the city subways 24 hours a day, each and every day, as well as at Penn Station and Grand Central, Metro North, and the Long Island Railroad stations north and east of the City.
