NY Times Reports: In Deepest Cold, Subways Become De Facto Shelters

For the estimated 3,900 unsheltered New Yorkers, many spend their days and nights in subway cars to escape the frigid elements.

The New York times published an article documenting the devastating reality of homelessness in the middle of the night during the dead of winter, and the lengths these men and women go through to have a warm place to lay their head.
