Welcome to BRC's New Medical Director, Dr. Angela Kedzior

We are very pleased to announce that, after an extensive search, Dr. Angela Kedzior has been selected as BRCís Medical Director. Dr Kedzior, a board certified psychiatrist, has a strong background in meeting the needs of people who are homeless, mentally ill and chemically dependent in New York City. A skilled administrator and experienced clinician, Dr. Kedzior is particularly committed to overseeing and providing thoughtful, patient-oriented, recovery-focused psychiatric and clinical care that is fully integrated with primary health services. She has served in a variety of clinical and psychiatric management positions at St. Vincentís Medical Center, Elmhurst Hospital Center and Montefiore Medical Center. Most recently at Montefiore, her focus was providing care to homeless women and their children. Also of note, Dr. Kedzior was the director of one of the busiest mobile crisis units in New York City for four years. She has previously served as assistant professor of clinical psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and she has a strong background in forensic psychiatry, having completed a fellowship at the University of California at San Franciscoís Atascadero State Hospital. Dr. Kedzior, an honors graduate of the University of Michigan, received her medical degree from Columbia Universityís College of Physician and Surgeons. Dr. Kedzior assumes her duties at BRC on October 13 and will have her office at our Continuing Day Treatment Program, on the 3rd floor of 85 Delancey Street in Manhattan.
