What kind of jobs are available at BRC?

We have 27 programs for homeless and at-risk New Yorkers, most of which operate around the clock. There are a variety of full-time, part-time and per diem opportunities available during various hours.

These positions include program management, administration, clinical work, social work, maintenance, medical aid, art therapy, food service, and more.

What are the benefits like at BRC?

Full time employees receive a generous benefits package which includes:

  • Competitive health and dental plans to choose from. Coverage is available for your spouse, domestic partner, and dependents.
  • A minimum of 3 weeks paid vacation, 11 paid holidays, and additional paid sick and personal time.
  • A 403(b) pension plan with a matching benefit paid by BRC.
  • Tuition assistance and many training opportunities for career development.
  • Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) are available so employees can set aside pre-tax dollars for healthcare, transit and childcare.

Will you mail a list of BRC's job postings to me?

We don't send mailings, but the jobs we have available are listed here on our website, and we also advertise in newspapers and on employment websites.

How often are the job postings updated?

We update our job listing every two weeks.

Can I send in my resume for general consideration?

We give priority to resumes that are sent to us in response to specific job postings. Your best strategy is to send your resume to BRC each time you see a job posting for which you would like to be considered.

BRC provides equal opportunity to all applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religious creed, sex, citizenship, sexual orientation, veteran status, national origin, age, marital status, ancestry, disability or any other protected classification under Federal, State or Local Law. In addition, it is our policy to recruit, hire, train, promote, compensate, and provide employment benefits and take other employment action based on an individual's merit and qualifications.

Good luck with your job search, and thanks for your interest in BRC!
