Integrated Mental Health Care for New Yorkers Experiencing Homelessness

Nearly one-third of BRC clients mange a chronic mental health challenge, in addition to the challenges of experiencing homelessness. BRC provides comprehensive mental health support and treatment throughout our programs, with a special focus on serving clients who are severely and persistently mentally ill (SPMI), many of whom have co-occurring substance abuse problems.

BRC offers caring and effective support in several programs designed to help clients manage their mental illness, find permanent housing, and achieve stability and independence in their lives. BRC provides clients with new opportunities to acquire and practice practical life skills in a safe and nurturing environment focused on helping them build confidence, competence, and independence.

Specialized mental health services are offered in our each of our transitional housing, permanent housing, and substance abuse programs.
