As I step into my new role as President and Chief Executive Officer of Bowery Residents’ Committee (BRC), one thing I want to emphasize is that we will be building on a solid foundation as we move forward with continuity, new ideas and opportunities:
Our long-standing commitment to meeting our clients where they are and providing person-centered support to address their individual needs and challenges.
Our dedication to developing housing that offers dignity and care and builds communities our clients can truly call home.
Our drive to discover innovative solutions — from the safe haven shelter model BRC piloted in 2007 to the new ideas we’ll develop together.
Our culture of professional development and career advancement, where a frontline social worker can one day become the CEO.
After nearly 20 years working across BRC’s programs and operations and helping New Yorkers on their pathway from homelessness to home, I’m honored to lead BRC into its next chapter, and I look forward to sharing more with you about our goals, our strategic direction, and the work ahead.
